The Brief
Key Copy needed a high-performance Shopify store to sell precision-cut replacement keys online across hundreds of key types and brands. The store had to handle a massive product catalogue, provide an intuitive browsing experience across complex categories, and build trust with customers who are essentially handing over access to their security.
What We Built
- Custom Shopify Theme - Built from the ground up with a clean, professional design using a dark navy and gold colour scheme. Montserrat and Nunito Sans typography for a modern, authoritative feel.
- 700+ Product Collections - Organised across 5 main categories (House Keys, Office Keys, Car & Vehicle Keys, Utility Keys, Other Keys) with deep subcategories covering everything from mortice keys to golf cart keys, mobility scooter keys, and fire brigade keys.
- 1,150+ Products - Full product catalogue with detailed descriptions, key blank references, and brand associations across 500+ trusted lock brands including Yale, Chubb, ERA, and more.
- Real-Time Dispatch Countdown - Custom JavaScript-powered countdown bar showing same-day dispatch cutoff times, updating hourly to create urgency and set clear delivery expectations.
- Brand Carousel - 50+ lock manufacturer logos displayed in an auto-scrolling carousel on the homepage, building instant credibility.
- Advanced Category Navigation - Multi-level mega menu with icon-driven category cards making it easy for customers to find the exact key type they need.
- Structured Data (Schema.org) - Full implementation of Organization, LocalBusiness, and Service schema for enhanced search engine visibility and rich results.
- Payment Integration - Apple Pay, Google Pay, and standard card payments configured for frictionless checkout.
- Security Features - hCaptcha integration for form protection, encrypted data handling, and clear trust signals throughout the customer journey.
